We, Filipinos are admittedly natural food enthusiasts. There has got to be the ultimate factor that keeps the people coming. The long queues and the never empty stalls of Mang Inasal always captured my attention. People said that it’s because of their delicious foods at affordable prices and some people said it’s because of its good ambiance. Because of this, we went to Mang Inasal to know if the premises are true.

Mang Inasal is a fast-food chain known for its bestseller, Chicken Inasal, which is available in two parts: paa or pecho. Covered with spices and grilled, the Chicken Inasal can serve as a satisfying viand even without the condiments or “sawsawan” (soy sauce with calamansi). For only Php. 149, one can avail a meal comprising of Chicken Inasal, unlimited rice, and drinks.

As I’ve tasted the Chicken Inasal, it has an after taste that will make me eat more the chicken. It is best to partner with the chicken. Aside from this, the size of the chicken is enough for me to eat it all. The good thing about eating Chicken Inasal is unlimited rice. Since my Chicken Inasal is big enough for me to eat it all, I think I have eaten 5 cups of rice in one sitting. This Chicken Inasal is very pop for me.

Aside from their bestseller Chicken Inasal, Mang Inasal also offers a dessert that every people love. Their Halo-halo is consist of the usual ingredients of the Pinoy halo-halo. The only difference is that it has a scoop of ube ice cream and a colorful wafer stick. The more thing I like about this halo-halo is the evaporated milk that gives the halo-halo flavorful. For only Php. 55, you can avail of the regular size of Halo-halo.

I appreciate the diligence of the crew in their work. It is remarkable how they always seem to be on a look-out to offer more rice or to serve soup. Although I guess, the diligence of the crew varies among branches, this protocol is one that is always observed, regardless of how busy the place gets.

Although the branches of Mang Inasal always seem crowded that searching for free tables became a difficult task, it has a beautiful ambiance that makes me eat more. The design of the fast-food chain is very appealing to me. For the prices of their meals that range from Php. 45 TO Php. 149, I think it is very affordable because, with that price, it is enough to fill our stomach and become satisfied. For the location, since some of its branches are located inside the malls, it is a very good place to attract many customers. The only thing that I noticed is since there are a lot of customers that are eating on this fast-food chain, the crews cannot be able to accommodate the customers since it has a small space. For this, I will recommend to them that they should have expanded their place so that they can be able to accommodate all the customers.

Overall, Mang Inasal is the type of fast-food chain that will make us come back again and again to eat their meals. For this review, I will give Mang Inasal a score of 9/10 because I am satisfied with their meals and the ambiance. The reason why I don’t give them a perfect score is that they have a slow service since there are a lot of customers that they need to accommodate. What are you waiting for? Come and eat at the nearest branch of Mang Inasal!

Internet Crimes that are Rampant Today

In a modern world, where the needs of communication and access to information are more necessary , the Internet has become a blessing to every person. Although the internet is a useful tool,it is the perfect playground for the criminial to commit  crimes because the internet has an ability to remain anonymous.

For today, we will discuss about the internet crimes that are common today and what are the consequences if you commit those crimes.

According to the Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 that was signed into law by President Aquino on Sept. 12, 2012, its original goal was to penalize acts like cybersex, child pornography, identity theft and unsolicited electronic communication in the country.

Under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 are some Cybercrime that needs to be penalized;

1. Illegal access- Unauthorized access (without right) to a computer system or application.

Penalty: Imprisonment of six years and 1 day up to 12 years or  a fine of at least Two hundred thousand pesos (P200,000) up to a maximum amount commensurate to the damage incurred or both.If committed against critical infrastructure:Reclusion temporal (imprisonment for twelve years and one day up to twenty years) or a fine of at least Five hundred thousand pesos (P500,000) up to a maximum amount commensurate to the damage incurred or both.

2. Computer-related Forgery- Unauthorized input, alteration, or deletion of computer data resulting to inauthentic data with the intent that it be considered or acted upon for legal purposes as if it were authentic, regardless whether or not the data is directly readable and intelligible; orThe act of knowingly using computer data which is the product of computer-related forgery as defined here, for the purpose of perpetuating a fraudulent or dishonest design.

Penalty: Imprisonment of six years and 1 day up to 12 years or a fine of at least Two hundred thousand pesos (P200,000) up to a maximum amount commensurate to the damage incurred or both.

3.Cybersex- Willful engagement, maintenance, control, or operation, directly or indirectly, of any lascivious exhibition of sexual organs or sexual activity, with the aid of a computer system, for favor or consideration. There is a discussion on this matter if it involves “couples” or “people in relationship” who engage in cybersex. For as long it is not done for favor or consideration, I don’t think it will be covered. However, if one party (in a couple or relationship) sues claiming to be forced to do cybersex, then it can be covered.

Penalty: Prision mayor (imprisonment of six years and 1 day up to 12 years) or a fine of at least Two hundred thousand pesos (P200,000) but not exceeding One million pesos (P1,000,000) or both.

4. Child Pornography- Unlawful or prohibited acts defined and punishable by Republic Act No. 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Act of 2009, committed through a computer system.

Penalty: Penalty to be imposed shall be one (1) degree higher than that provided for in Republic Act 9775, if committed through a computer system.

5. Cyber bullying-

6.Libel- Unlawful or prohibited acts of libel as defined in Article 355 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended committed through a computer system or any other similar means which may be devised in the future.Revised Penal Code Art. 355 states Libel means by writings or similar means. — A libel committed by means of writing, printing, lithography, engraving, radio, phonograph, painting, theatrical exhibition, cinematographic exhibition, or any similar means, shall be punished by prision correccional in its minimum and medium periods or a fine ranging from 200 to 6,000 pesos, or both, in addition to the civil action which may be brought by the offended party. The Cybercrime Prevention Act strengthened libel in terms of penalty provisions.

The electronic counterpart of libel has been recognized since the year 2000 when the E-Commerce Law was passed. The E-Commerce Law empowered all existing laws to recognize its electronic counterpart whether commercial or not in nature.

Penalty: Penalty to be imposed shall be one (1) degree higher than that provided for by the Revised Penal Code, as amended, and special laws, as the case may be.

As a student and a netizen also, I strongly agree on this punishments because  nowadays, a lot of internet crimes are being committed. So in order to stop these crimes, a bigger punishment is should be given to those people who will find guilty for the crime that they have charged on.

We might think that the law may  limit our freedom of expression and speech, but this law will serve as our first step in progress. Filipinos must abide the law to defeat criminal cyber acts. But above all these we should also recognize that this is also a human right to be protected from people who use internet to advance their malicious intention.

An individual can do their best to protect themselves simply by being cautious and careful. Internet users need to be more observant, aware and bold in order to prevent these cybercrime.

K to 12: A key to Progress (My Advocacy Campaign)

Stand for Kto 12: An advocacy campaign. Our advocacy is about encouraging all the youths to be more educated by understanding the real essence of K to 12. A lot of people are disagreeing the implementation of k to 12 because of adding 2 years in high school but little did they know that this implementation will be the best plan for changing our country?

The reason why we chose this advocacy is that we want to show to the youths some background information why we should be proud of implementing k to 12. According to the Department of Education (DepEd), the known definition of K12 is a 13-year educational program from kindergarten until high school. By changing the curriculum, students will surely have a higher standard of education.  This advocacy will show why the Philippines is in need of a better curriculum.

As a student, at first, I hesitated if I will finish my studies because of adding 2 years in high school. But now, I’m a Grade 11 student and I am thankful because this curriculum was implemented. Without this, I’m definitely sure, I wasn’t ready to enter college because I’m not decided on what course will I take. But in Kto 12, you can choose a right track for you to be more prepared in entering college. I know a lot of us youths are undecided when it comes to choosing the right course for us but in K to 12, we will enhance our skills especially when we chose the right course for us.

DepEd proposed this program to enhance the learning capabilities of the students. K12 provides students, as well as the country, many privileges with more time for students to study and understand their lessons; they will be able to do better in their exams. The students will be able to attain a better education that will give them more job opportunities.

Surely without K to 12, the quality of education in the Philippines is low. Without this kind of quality education, Filipinos will not be able to compete with a high-end job abroad. K to 12 will give the Philippines a chance to be a better country by starting with changing our curriculum. Almost all of the countries in the world are having k to 12 as their basic education program.

We, Students need time to properly understand a lesson.  K12 gives us a chance to learn more, to enjoy learning in a calm and enjoyable manner, and understand them better.

K12 does not only provide time for us to study. It also offers more subjects in which students can take during our high school years. Because of K to 12, students in the Philippines will have a better education.

Studying requires time for us students to completely understand what we need to learn. Better education is attained by them because of the prolonged time of studying. We are able to understand and execute what they have learned properly in the business world. The students afterward are able to get better employment options because they have studied well.

On the other hand, because of k to 12, a lot of school works are needed to finish. So a lot of students are spending their whole time in school works and activities. Sometimes, we forgot that we have a family that we need to bond on. But always keep in mind that this is not a “cruel education system”, it only prepares us for the time that we will join the workforce. It’s okay to rest and let your mind be at peace but never forget that you need to be strong in order to face all the challenges in the real world.

Overall, the Philippines, as well as the citizens will have a better education and a better future by adding K12 to the educational curriculum. With a better quality of education, students will be able to obtain this kind of future. The economy of the Philippines will rise as our labor force attains a better education. K12 will be of good use to the students and it might bring forth a new beginning for the country.

We must stand for this change! Stand for K to 12!

Mathematics in our everyday life

A lot of us are saying that Math is difficult especially when a variable is added to a coefficient or there was a fraction in certain word problems. They didn’t know that Mathematics can help us to live well in our everyday life. Here are some daily tasks that can show us that Math is within ourselves:

  • Managing Money- Having skills in Mathematics will help us to manage our money especially when we grow up. The first thing that we need to know is how to calculate simple and compound interest. People who take out loans need to understand the interest. If we learn about this, then we will be wise to figure out the best ways to save and invest money.
  • Cooking- in Cooking, Math is very useful in terms of calculating the measurement of a certain amount of ingredients. It is needed especially when there is a standard measurement in every ingredient that we need to achieve.
  • Shopping- we will use Math in buying items. For example, some stores will offer a sale that gives a percentage off an original price. It is needed for us to calculate the discounts so we can buy an item for the best price offered.
  • Recreational Activities/ Sports- Geometry and trigonometry can help us to improve our sports skills. If we learn the basics of geometry and trigonometry, then we will know the best way to hit our goal in sports.

Math is very useful in everyday life. Mathematicians continually modify their calculations. Today they build this structure, tomorrow that one. They can make the impossible possible. So instead of wasting your time in your gadgets, why not try to explore the world of Mathematics in order to gain knowledge that can help in our future?

Hi! I am Marifa B. Kusain

Hello! I’m Marifa and I’m 16 years old. I’m a Muslim also. Even though my religion was different from the others because we’re living here in Luzon and most of the people here are Catholics, I am thankful because Allah chose me to be a Muslim.Today, I’m studying as a Grade 11 student at St. Matthew College. My greatest dream is to be a Lawyer/Police woman. As of now, my hobbies are eating, watching kdramas, studying of course, fangirling over kpop and many more. I really hate to see a flying cockroach because they look dirty to me and it is scarier than to watch a horror movie. That’s all! Thank youfb_img_1529482129709
